High Voltage Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

Being the expert on High voltage (HV) equipment including electrical connectors, high voltage switch, splitter box, transformersGood understanding on the product design, testing and qualification requirements as per codes, standards & engineering best practicesVerifying vendor qualification deliverables for HV equipment and endorsing it for company useProviding engineering & planning services for integrating the HV equipment into project specific applications offered as part of tender or project execution.Basic and detailed engineering to design, select, size and specify medium and high voltage transmission systems including topside UPS, electrical connectors and distribution equipmentCarrying out and verifying voltage transmission system network performance analysis, power / load calculations and protection studiesDuties will also include producing engineering specifications, calculations, drawings, control equipment bill of material, defining part numbers, technical/ commercial analysis of vendor quotes, post award vendor documentation review, FAT / EFAT / SIT test procedures and involvement in tender proposals.Job Requirements:

A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Control / Instrumentation / Electrical engineeringAt least 8 years of working experience, those in oil/gas / power transmission industry is preferredStrong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.Knowledge about communication over power system and electrical submerged pumps is preferredPreferably experience in medium and high voltage transmission system using electric cables in umbilical & associated control systems so that power can be transmitted between surface platforms and subsea equipment·         Strong computer skills

·         Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures
