A lower band may also be offered to less experienced candidate.Sales Application Engineer SingaporeThe role provides field technical and application support for customers and the sales team. The incumbent will provide specialized, technical product and application support to the sales organization in order to achieve and exceed orders and margin objectives; integrate and develop processes, managecomplex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, that meet business needs across the organization and contribute to the overall business strategy.Provide technical sales support to Region Managers, Sales Managers and team as it relates to Energy Services, Industrial products
Provide technical expertise to Sales and Commercial Operations in selecting, implementing, and developing competitive product applications and solutions
Responsible to support the sales team to meet orders goals for the region and by market segment
Provide training and technical support to the Region Managers and Sales Managers
Coordinate with sales force to make customer calls and presentations and participate in bid meetings and walk-through meetings with the customer as necessary
Estimate GE equipment and system performance, hardware, and price for budgetary estimates Assess competitive system performance and hardware evaluation throughout the entire bid process
Perform cycle and equipment comparisons to establish economically optimum / GE preferred cycle and configuration with involvement of and communication to the commercial teams and application engineers
Respond to various technical questions regarding products and systems solutions
Provide input for NPI programs and introduce new products to sales team and market Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
At least 5 years of experience in a commercial environment with sales, marketing, application engineering or customer service
At least 5 years of experience in engineering or systems work areas associated with large rotating equipment (electrical motors, electrical generators, pumps or compressors)
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time Six sigma training is preferred
Strong technical presentation skills

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong customer mindset
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Prior experience with customer specifications review, proposal development, and contract development and negotiations is preferred
Prior experience in developing and writing specifications and proposals is preferred
Ability to bring an innovative approach to complicated problem solving
Ability to provide technical direction and training for leadership program candidates
Ability to work in a team-oriented setting and develop complex solutions utilizing the entire GE portfolio
