Business Partnerships Director

JOB SUMMARY

A new role to build a commercial events portfolio to service the financial industry within the APAC region. Selling high value sponsorship and other marketing and business solutions across conferences, seminars and roundtables.

KEY ACTIVITIES

•Sell high value sponsorship across conferences, seminars and roundtables
•Work closely with the Events Producer to develop portfolio and content
•Focus on new business generation dealing with key decision makers, identifying client needs and offering high value business & marketing solutions
•Sales contact through internal databases, information requests and research

SKILLS NEEDED

•2-3 years of media sales experience –advertising, business information, exhibition, sponsorship or conference delegate sales
•Graduate calibre
•Proven sales track record of not only consistently hitting but exceeding targets
•Highly driven and results focussed sales person with a positive approach and strong work ethic
•Experience of understanding and identifying clients needs spotting new opportunities, while providing customer focussed solutions is essential
•Fluent spoken and written English

•Exceptional sales skills, particularly face to face and on telephone, including relationship building, objection handling, negotiation and problem saving
•Account management skills
•A knowledge of or interest in the financial industry
•Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
•Good IT skills
•Self motivated
•Extremely organised, with associated time management skills
•Good attention to detail and quick to assimilate information
•Calm under pressure
•Enjoy networking and building rapport at a senior level
