Description

Must have demonstrated experience and ability to (1) analyze ILS, configuration, and logistics data management operations at the Fleet, class and ship level; (2) analyze shipboard systems, equipment, components, and parts; (3) assimilate and develop technical configuration data and ILS products; and (4) use automated life cycle logistics systems to identify deficiencies in technical data and procedures, and to provide remedial solutions and actions while providing on site logistics support in support of ship overhauls. Incumbent will (1) analyze ship repair work packages for logistics impact and required equipment integrated logistics support (ILS); (2) Analyze and update logistics databases to ensure proper logistics support for shipboard systems; (3) Research, analyze, identify, source, and receive parts and equipment; (4) Review blueprints and equipment drawings and maintenance plans to determine required repair parts support; (5) Interface with vendors and other Government agencies as required; (6) Conduct ship visits to establish and groom of technical publications and drawings and conduct inventories, validate equipment and verify operation of and provide training on automated logistics systems. Requires bachelor's degree (in Logistics Management, Mathematics or related field) or equivalent, and At least 5 years experience with the operations of the DoD and service supply system and shipboard ILS, configuration and logistics data management. At least 3 years of the 5 years experience must have been with the (1) MSC, U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, or merchant marine afloat; or (2) Navy or MSC new construction industry. Requires a bachelors degree (in Logistics Management or related field) or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.
