JOB DESCRIPTION - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
International Financing Review (IFR), the world's most prestigious capital markets brand and part of Thomson Reuters, is seeking an analyst to join its Asian team of highly experienced foreign exchange analysts.
Based in Singapore and reporting to IFR's Head of Asian FX, the role will involve writing commentaries on non-core Asian currencies on a real-time basis, helping produce the market reports that go out at the start, during and end of each day and update the technical analysis pages for 11 currency pairings.
An ability to work under pressure is a must and long hours will be required on occasions. He/she must be a committed team as the role will involve co-operating and collaborating not only with other members of IFR's Asian and global FX teams, but also with colleagues who are part of Reuters News.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have at least two years experience in the foreign exchange market and/or writing about foreign exchange and have at least a basic understanding of technical analysis. He/she must be able to write quickly, clearly and concisely.
The required candidate must also have a grasp of the major currency foreign exchange derivatives market in order to contact FX option traders regularly to write about the FX options market during Asian trading hours.
