SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (Contract Position)

Looking Software Developer in the Academic Computing & Information Services. Client embarking on a project to consolidate its systems into a single integrated student administration and academic system within the Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework. The aim of the EA project is to deliver long-term business value to different academic groups within the Institute while responding effectively to changing business needs.

We are seeking self-motivated professionals who are looking for a fresh challenge and are willing to become part of a dynamic team of high-performing individuals. The Software Developer position will suit those accustomed to working closely and openly with other team members to produce quality project deliverable within prescribed time-frames. This position is on a 2-year contract basis.

Requirements

A good university degree

At least 2 years' experience in developing web applications in the Microsoft .Net Framework using #

Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL

Good track record in delivering enterprise-level applications

Ability to work in a closely-collaborative team environment

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable Attributes

Exposure to ORM frameworks such as NHibernate and/or Entity Framework

Well-versed in unit testing frameworks such as NUnit and/or MbUnit

Experience in test-driven development practices

Experience in performing use case-based analysis

Previous experience in education institutions would be an advantage

Writing code using # • Creating automated unit tests

Collaborating with System Analysts to deliver functionalities

Following design directions from the Technical Architect
