Internal Audit Manager - Insurance - Singapore

Our client is a leading player within the insurance sector and they are looking for a capable individual to provide independent audit assurance through delivery of a portfolio of audits as to the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities:
Provision of robust assurance and opinions
Stakeholder and relationship management with senior management within the region
Developing and monitoring detailed resource and task plans for individual audits
Delivery of audits of a complex nature where appropriate
Coordination of work with specialist teams, other group functions and the external auditor
Participating in business unit, region and global audits as required
Supporting the Heads in the development and delivery of the assurance opinion
Quality control for the portfolio of reviews they have been assigned
Managing timely production of high quality reports
Performance management for assigned members
Coaching and development of staff assigned to audits
Managing relationships with relevant senior External Audit resources
Deliver training to other IA staff members both locally and in Asia Pacific
Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel if required in Asia Pacific

Our ideal candidate should have the following:

Experience post professional qualification in appropriate business environment
Management of teams and performance management for staff
Experience of risk identification and defining practical solutions for management
Evidence of proven career track record (minimum eight years) and consistent record of achievement
Post degree accounting qualification (ACA, CPA. ACCA)
Certified Internal Auditor qualification preferred.
