Research Fellow Job - Viral Immunology

You will be part of the Viral Immunology Group at the Infection and Immunity programme in SICS. The laboratory investigates how innate components influence the adoptive immune response against influenza viral infection and during secondary bacterial infection.
The job responsibilities of the Research Fellow include, but are not limited to, assist in the supervision of postgraduate students, junior researchers where applicable, resolving problems that affect the delivery of research projects, manuscript writing, presentation at conferences, grant writing, training of junior staff in the laboratory and maintenance of equipment in the laboratory.
Requirements:
A PhD in Immunology, Biomedical Science or a related fieldPossess significant experience and expertise in host-pathogen interactions and viral immunology.An interest in PRR-mediated, and/or TLR-L mediated signaling in cells of the innate immune system preferredPrevious experience in immunological techniques such as isolation of various immune cell subtypes, proliferation assays, FACS, ELISA and enzyme activity assays are prerequisitesPossess excellent verbal and written communication skillsA responsible and dependable individual who has good critical thinking skills and pays attention to detailsShows initiative and able to work independently as well as part of a team
