Global Program Manager EPG (Internal)

This is a new WW leadership position in Microsoft Operations. The Global Program Manager (GPM) for Enterprise Program Group (EPG) will be a member of the Global Volume Licensing team within Commercial Operations. This workgroup is responsible for Global Programs and Global initiatives across the Volume Licensing Business stream.

The purpose of the GPM EPG role is to manage the operations of the current EA and Select Volume Licensing in market Programs through the four Regional Operations Centers (ROCs). The GPM for EPG will be responsible for delivering global, standard and efficient operational models across all regions that meet our governance requirements. This role will be the interface for the current EPG in market Programs (EA and Select) between Worldwide Operations, Worldwide Licensing and Pricing (WWLP) and senior management in the corporate groups we support. The role involves engaging with and influencing worldwide stakeholder groups at a senior management level with the purpose of prioritizing requirements and ensuring that we have the necessary infrastructure and resources in place to support current and future business requirements. The GPM for EPG will liaise closely with a virtual team of regional Program & Process Managers in each regional operations center to ensure that regional requirements and readiness are represented in an overall solution for the current in market programs.

There is also an impactful leadership component of the role to play in ensuring that all ROC leads are aligned in support of optimum global processes and procedures to support new and existing EPG business.

Main aspects of the position are as follows:

* Develop strong business relationships with key internal stakeholder groups to clearly understand their business goals, challenges and priorities, and provide input to strategic thinking and planning for any changes to the EPG programs and related business models/systems.

* Best Practices - develop and maintain excellent communication and teaming across all four ROCs to facilitate the sharing of best practices, and alignment with corporate direction

* Operations Value Add - lead Business Intelligence activities to identify business management reporting requirements to drive program development.

* Customer and Partner Experience - provide feedback to global groups on the experiences and satisfaction levels of customer and partners engaging with operations on the EPG programs.

* Be the leader for global process and standardization across the ROCs. Approve and gain approval for business requirements.

* Identify areas of process improvement and opportunity for COGs reductions and implement same

* Act as Global operations representative in program policy, process and governance discussions relating to the current EPG in market programs.

* Identify, prioritize and drive global operations process optimization and standardization initiatives for EPG

* Manage prioritization with internal client groups and with Program Managers in each of the ROCs.

* Global Metrics & Reporting - build and maintain a structure for standard metrics and reporting for the programs globally.

* Establish a strong virtual team across the four regional operation centers and ensure tight collaboration across the GPM team to understand the overall vision, progress and alignment in these areas.

* Deliver on the roadmap for the current EPG in market Programs

* Be the global operations point of contact for the EPG in market programs - inputting to and agreeing project scope, approach, process/systems design and timelines, ensuring the views of the ROC’s are represented.

This role can be based in Redmond, Ft. Lauderdale, Reno, Dublin or Singapore.

Basic Qualifications:

* 5+ years of program or project management experience

* 1+ year of managing a virtual team (direct or indirect reports)

* Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

* Global Experience a plus

* Management of operations programs, process or channel.

* Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organization

* Project Management skills/experience in a multi-national environment

* Demonstrated ability to negotiate and provide alternative business solutions

* Strong analytical and problem solving ability

* Ability to work under and deliver to continual deadline constraints

* Initiative/ drive and possess a strong desire to continuously improve systems, processes and deliver against agreed objectives.
