Job Summary

The Role:
As a member of the global Talent Acquisition team, a Recruiter is responsible for delivering best in class services and results for one or multiple business groups at Red Hat. The Recruiter will lead all Talent Acquisition efforts for their area(s) and will be expected to provide leadership, coaching and feedback to people team members, business leaders and hiring managers to effectively distill complex business factors into the achievement of talent acquisition objectives. This person must be both an evangelist and change agent capable of driving Red Hat to an industry leadership position in talent acquisition and significantly contributing to the implementation, adoption and ongoing use of our Talent model. A Recruiter will be expected to regularly consult and influence at the VP level and below on talent acquisition strategies and tactics to drive continual process improvement and create a culture of talent acquisition that permeates all of Red Hat.
Primary Responsibilities:
Planning and Process Improvement:
- In partnership with Business Leaders, Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners, develop robust workforce plans that distill into talent acquisition plans for each new fiscal year. Regularly monitor and adjust these plans on a quarterly basis to match the business environment at Red Hat.
- Act independently to pro-actively identify problem areas in the talent acquisition work flow and develop/implement solutions to resolve these issues.
- Consistently demonstrate an ability to streamline/improve the talent acquisition process by identifying bottlenecks in the end-to-end talent acquisition life cycle.
- Drive the adoption and use of the Applicant Tracking System by all team members and hiring managers throughout each step of the talent acquisition life cycle.
Sourcing and Candidate Development:
- Analyze current market trends and anticipate future business needs to build a comprehensive sourcing strategy that leverages a wide scope of sourcing tools to pro-actively build candidate pipelines.
- Successfully conduct search assignments for Associate to Vice President level roles in a systematic and comprehensive manner (without the use of outside search firms), by utilizing search methodologies to identify, attract and hire talent, thereby demonstrating the standards by which Talent Acquisition team members should aspire.
- Understand and utilize the succession planning process process to augment and support the overall sourcing strategy employed by the Talent Acquisition team.
Candidate Evaluation and Closing:
- In conjunction with Hiring Managers and People Strategy Consultants, develop selection processes including selection criteria, interview process flow and selling strategies to ensure the selection and hiring of the best candidate for all openings.
- Consult with Hiring Managers and interview panels about talent acquisition strategies/tactics, legal requirements and appropriate candidate management techniques.
- Provide the necessary tools and training for Hiring Managers and interview panels to enhance Red Hat's selection process by teaching targeted selection to Hiring Managers and interview panel members.
- Create the optimal candidate experience by identifying the key decision levers, developing a sell strategy and creating candidate experiences and offers that successfully close the hire.
Client Management:
- Work with hiring managers to ensure recruiting activities have the appropriate prioritization, are being acted on in a timely manner and are ultimately selecting the best candidate considering a mix of culture match, skills, abilities, experiences and diversity.
- Educate and influence managers and HR team members on best practices in the talent acquisition life cycle (sourcing, evaluation, closing, candidate experience) to ensure the adoption of a culture of talent acquisition at Red Hat.
- Develop strong, open and productive relationships with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to ensure talent acquisition objectives are achieved.
- Regularly provide crisp and incisive reports to hiring managers, HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Leadership on open requirement status and the achievement of core metrics.
Job Requirements

Required Skills:
- 7+ years demonstrated track record of successfully meeting recruiting targets and client satisfaction goals in a high volume, multi-client recruiting environment.
- 7+ years experience working for a high technology company or leading technology search firm in a recruiting role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, influence, coach and challenge senior level leaders.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience required.
