The Role

We are seeking a Portfolio Coordinator to join the Equity Portfolio Coordination Group. In this role the individual will work closely with our global team of Portfolio Coordinators in support of our Research and Global Equity Portfolio Management investment teams on trade implementation, cash management, account transitions, portfolio monitoring and risk analysis.

This position will be located in Asia (preferably Singapore, but Hong Kong a possibility) but initially would be based in Boston for 3 to 6 months.

Responsibilities

The specific responsibilities of this Portfolio Coordinator role include:

• Work with the investment teams and traders to ensure timely and accurate implementation of investment strategies across client portfolios
• Provide regular and dynamic portfolio investment risk analysis to the investment teams, and help monitor adherence to internal risk and exposure parameters and client guidelines
• Interface with Investment Administration on issues including new account setup, transitions, and market openings
• Work with Investment Systems on enhancements and related investment platforms and tools
• While located in Boston work effectively as a shared resource to our global team of Portfolio Coordinators, providing support, coverage, and assistance across our GIR and GEPM portfolios

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:
• Strong analytical skills and strict attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and to contribute as part of a team
• Familiarity with trading systems, and/or investment risk systems is a plus
• Interpersonal and communication skills to strategize effectively with the investment teams and other internal groups
• Ability to think creatively and initiate projects that can lead to better implementation of strategies and trades, and understanding of portfolio risk and positioning
• Solid understanding of global securities, including equities, bonds, currency, and derivatives
• Willingness and flexibility to work outside of normal business hours
• Willingness and flexibility to relocate to Asia at some point in the future
• A minimum of five years in the investment management business, with trading, portfolio analysis and/or investment operations/administration experience preferred.

An advanced degree, CFA designation or progress towards CFA is a plus.
